Peep Enterprise
Privacy Policy.
Effective: not yet published
In short
PeepEn runs on your server. Your mail, calendars, contacts and files never come to us. We only receive what's needed to run your account, issue and check licenses, and bill you. This policy covers what Smith Grown collects through peep.moe and the PeepEn license service.
1. What we collect
Your account
- Your name, email address, phone number, and the companies you add.
- Your password, stored only as a one-way hash we can't read.
- A sign-in cookie, and the IP address and time of each sign-in.
- Any promo code you use.
When PeepEn checks in (about once a week)
- The license key.
- A random install ID that PeepEn makes. It doesn't identify any person.
- The number of people in your install, and the month-end counts used for billing.
- The PeepEn version.
- The time of the check-in and the IP address of your server.
PeepEn doesn't send us names, email addresses, messages or any other details about the people who use it.
When you pay
- Payments are handled by Stripe. We don't see or store your card number. We keep a Stripe customer reference, your plan, and your billing history.
When you visit peep.moe
- peep.moe uses Cloudflare for security and delivery, so Cloudflare processes your connection.
- Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser contacts Google for them.
- The account pages set cookies needed for signing in and for the forms to work. The site remembers your light / dark choice in your browser. Nothing is used for tracking or advertising.
2. How we use it
- To run your account, and to issue, activate and check license keys.
- To bill you and handle tax.
- To email you about your account and licenses: confirmations, keys, renewals, payment problems, changes to these policies, and important security updates.
- To prevent abuse, for example limiting how often an address can sign up or try passwords.
We don't sell your information, and we don't use it for advertising. We won't send you marketing email unless you opt in.
3. Who we share it with
- Stripe: payments, invoices and sales tax.
- Cloudflare: website security and delivery.
- Our hosting and email providers: to run peep.moe and send account email.
- Authorities: when the law requires it.
- A buyer: if the business is sold, with this policy still applying to your information.
4. How long we keep it
- Account, license and billing records: while your account is open, then up to 7 years for tax and accounting.
- Sign-in sessions: until you sign out, or 30 days after last use.
- Email links (confirm, reset): they stop working after 48 hours or 2 hours, and are deleted a day after that.
- Rate-limit records (IP addresses): about an hour.
- Your server's last check-in address: replaced at each check-in.
- License history logs (requests, activations, plan changes): while the license exists.
5. Your choices and rights
You can see and correct your details on your account page. To get a copy of your information, or to have it deleted, email info@peep.moe. We'll reply within 30 days. We may need to keep billing records the law requires us to keep. Deleting your account also ends its licenses.
Depending on where you are (for example California, or the EU and UK), local law may give you more rights. We'll honor them.
6. Security
Passwords and license keys are stored only as one-way hashes, not in readable form. Sign-in is rate-limited, our admin access is password-protected, and the site uses HTTPS. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your information, we'll tell you as the law requires.
7. Children
PeepEn and peep.moe are business services and aren't meant for children under 16.
8. Changes
We'll post changes here and email account holders about material changes before they take effect.
